  2. Two new Bible Studies starting back up for students.  We will be offering a Bible Study for students during the last half of the Saturday night service at the Woodmen Campus and a new Sunday morning Bible Study on at the Woodmen Campus as well!  Contact Marcus with questions.

Other Announcements:

  • Jesus Freaks, our Student drama group has started back up!  For more information contact Marcus.
  • We are looking for 2 more students to serve on the planning team that works on all of the big picture planning and programs for the Student Ministry.  The team meets 4 times a year on the second Monday of even numbered months except June and December.  We really need folks to help discern and pray for God’s direction in all we do, so please consider joining this group.  We are in need of two students and one parent at this time.
  • Don’t forget about Walkabout our exciting and interactive Christian discussion group for students in grades 6-12 that meets in room 221 every Sunday during the 10:30am service.
  • We need students to help serve and provide childcare during the Sweetheart dinner on March 7.  This counts as a service project for mission trips and confirmation.  See Marcus to sign up.
  • Jesus Freaks, our Student drama group begins again on February 25.  For more information contact Marcus or Jessica.
  • Our March service project on March 1 is to go and provide food to the homeless in our community downtown.  Time is 9-1:30pm.  If you want to sign up, please contact Marcus.

Help Needed-Students:

  • We are in need of students to help with occasional projects around the office after school and during breaks. Please talk to Marcus if interested.
  • See announcements above for some great service opportunities.
  • We are always looking for more students to be a part of our worship teams, especially guitar and keyboard. If you are interested please contact Lucas using the information above.

Help Needed-Parents:

  • We are always looking for more parents to help out in a variety of ways both with students and behind the scenes. Our current areas of high need are teachers (Walkabout, Bible Study, & Sunday School), phone calls and other office help, more leaders for Wednesday night programs (especially high school) and drivers & chaperones for special events and trips.

Please let Marcus know if you can help in any of these ways.

Devotional:

One of the hardest things for me about following Jesus, truly following the words and life of Jesus is giving up control to Him.  Sometimes that is because of fear or uncertainty, or maybe it is a lack of trust, but it is one of my biggest barriers to full blown, regular, daily, commitment to Jesus.  What are your roadblocks?
