Confirmation

Confirmation is offered each year and runs from the beginning of September to the beginning/middle of May and is open to youth in grades 7-9. Older youth may participate with special permission. Confirmation includes three 7 class units, a couple trips, and time with a mentor as part of one of the units.

Monthly Missions & Service

Each month we offer a mission/service opportunity. Some of these are work projects at Sunrise or other organizations, while others are outreach events or projects. Click here for a page listing our current planed monthly missions.

Monthly Fun

Each month we offer an event or program that is intentionally fun and is an opportunity for students to simply laugh, have fun, and connect with each other. Fun events include our themed game nights, lock-ins, and other events. Click here for a page listing our current planned month fun events.

Student Leadership Team

The Student Leadership team is open to students in grades 8-12 who desire to become stronger leaders inside and outside of the church. The focus of this group is leadership training and development as well as leading some special projects. The Student Leadership Team meets the first and third Monday night of each month from 7:00-8:30pm at the Church September-May. For more information, contact us.

Jesus Freaks

Jesus Freaks is the drama ministry of Sunrise Student Ministries. This group meets on a regular basis to plan skits, dramas, and sketches for Student Ministry programs and events, and some church events and worship services. The group also works with the children’s Theatre company to perform plays. Jesus Freaks hosts callouts every August and meets September-May each year.

Retreats

Sunrise Student Ministries offers three retreats each year; two that are held off site at camps; one for middle school and one for high school. The third retreat is held on site and is called "Going Deeper" and is focused on going deeper in your faith. The dates, themes, and details of these retreats vary from year to year. They are a great opportunity to get away, have some fun, and grow in your faith.

Mission Trips

Each year the Student Ministry offers mission trips for both middle school and high school youth. The dates and locations of the mission trips vary, but the mission trips are a great opportunity for youth to serve, connect with others, and be challenged in their faith. Small Groups

There are a variety of small groups offered for high school youth with varying interests and schedules. Please contact us formore information on our current high school small group offerings. The goal of these groups is to help high school students grow in their faith in a more intimate setting. We are currently exploring a new format for small groups. Groups change throughout the year, with some groups meeting short term and others being long term groups.
