What to Expect

At the Briargate Campus...

Parking: All parking is in the back of the church as well as the entrance doors. First Time Visitors parking is just as you come to the parking lot and it is on your left and marked for your convenience. There are several areas for handicap parking and all are marked and located up close to
the entrance doors.

Dress: Please dress comfortably. We do not have a dress code and you will find just about all manners of dress from shorts and jeans to suit and tie and dresses. No matter how you are dressed you will not feel out of place.

Worship Style: The message you will hear will be relevant to your daily life. It will contain solid Christian theology
based on the Bible. It will be interesting ,enjoyable, intelligent,and easy to understand. Sometimes it will be humorous and sometimes it will tug at your heart. Our 9:00 am and 10:30 am services have a wonderful choir and orchestra playing a variety of Hymns and Christian music. Our 8:30 am service is a taste of the old fashioned traditional service with readings, organ and hymns to bring you back to the “good ole days ”. All worship services last about 60 minutes.

Kids: Children are important to the life of Sunrise and are always welcome to stay with you during worship.The nursery and Sunrise Kids programs run during the services. At the 10:30 am service most children go to the service with their parents and hear a children’s sermon before being escorted to their classes. You are asked to sign children in to their Sunday School classes before taking them to the service with you.

Welcome Center: Please be sure to visit our Welcome Center just inside the doors. We have a thank you gift for you and the workers there will be happy to assist you in any way they can.

Offering: Guests are not expected to contribute to the offering. We want you to feel welcome as our guest with no pressure to give. The offerings we do collect provide the revenues to allow us to provide local and worldwide ministries.

Prayer: A member of our prayer team is available in the front of the sanctuary to pray with you after each service if you so desire.You may also fill out the prayer card in the back of the pews if you have a special prayer request. These will be given to our Sunrise Prayer Team who will give special attention and prayers to your requests.

At the Woodmen Campus...

Parking: First Time Guest, handicapped and Expectant Mother parking spaces are located near the front door. All spaces are clearly marked with signs.

Dress: Please dress comfortably.We have no dress code. It is not uncommon to see people in shorts and sandals or jeans and sneakers. Sometimes you may even see someone wearing a tie.

Worship Style:The message you will hear will be relevant to your daily life. It will contain solid Christian theology
based upon the Bible. It will be interesting, enjoyable, intelligent, and understandable. Sometimes it will be humorous and sometimes it will tug at your heart. Music is often high-energy,guitar driven with words projected on three large screens. You can expect to see graphical images and occasional video clips on the screen during worship. The worship service will last about 60 minutes. Communion is served at every service, you need not be a member to receive communion.

Kids: Children are important to the life of Sunrise and are always welcome to stay with you during worship. You'll find a table with coloring sheets and crayons in the back of the worship area. Also, the Cafe has a play area with comfortable couches, the the full service can be seen and heard from the Cafe. The nursery and Sunrise Kids programs are also available during each service. Most kids stay in the service during all of the opening music, then leave to Explorers or Children’s Church. We often see see kids dancing in the aisles.

Guest Center: Please drop by the Guest Center (located in the Cafe area) for a gift.

Cafe: Soda, pastries and specialty drinks are available during each service. You are welcome to bring Cafe items into the service.

Spirited Traditional
9 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning @ the Briargate campus - Spirited traditional worship with a full choir and orchestra.
Contemporary
10 a.m. Sunday morning @ the Woodmen campus - Family-oriented and informal with modern Christian music.
Koinonia
10 a.m. Sunday morning @ the Woodmen campus - A powerful, interactive worship service geared towards youth and young adults.
