United Methodist Women
We have over 100 women meeting monthly as six small groups which we call Circles. Each circle is named after a woman in the Bible. The purpose of United Methodist Women is to expand concepts of mission with participation in the global ministries of the church. We do this through quarterly meetings with various speakers and through two church-wide fundraisers held annually. We encourage you to visit any one of our groups!
ABIGAIL - Abigail Circle's mission is supplying kits to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) for world-wide distribution. The mem-bers are exploring missions in the local area also. Monthly program topics vary. This diverse group of women meets on the second Mon-day of the month at 7:00 PM in the Briargate Church parlor from January thru May and from September thru December. Summer meetings are brunches held once a month on Saturday in June, July, and August. KidCare is provided at the church, upon request.
ANNA - Anna Circle's mission is working on a beading project for Cody's Camp, which is where children with cancer and their siblings can meet. The necklaces are given as a reward for attending the clinic. Circle members are also ready to help meet the needs of our church family and community when emergencies arise. This circle is made up of a variety of ages and backgrounds. Most members live in the Monument/Tri-Lakes area, but everyone is welcome. They enjoy gathering monthly to share Christian fellowship and spiritual growth. Meetings are held in members' homes on the second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM. Carpooling is available.
